What Macrano is
A private owner with the governance of an institution and the experience of an operator. Macrano buys established businesses to own and grow them, with decisions made by the people who own the group.
A private, long-term owner
Macrano is privately held. It acquires businesses with strong management teams and durable customer relationships, and holds them under a consistent ownership model.
Institutional governance
A chaired board for the group and for each operating company, monthly reporting, annual budgets and capital approvals, and cash and treasury controlled at group level.
Operating experience
The principals combine operating experience in electrical and energy businesses, institutional infrastructure-fund governance, and chartered accounting and legal capability.
Business as usual by design.
Nothing operational changes when Macrano becomes the owner. Brands, management, customers, suppliers and systems stay in place. Integration happens at board level, and centralised finance and administration are phased in gradually, so no business changes systems on day one. Macrano adds institutional governance, capital and scalable systems as project size and contractual complexity increase, without disrupting the delivery engines that make each business successful.
Board-level ownership
Macrano appoints the board of each company. The people who run the business today keep running it and report to their board, with autonomy on delivery — supported, not directed, by the centre.
Monthly reporting
Each company reports monthly on financial performance, projects, pipeline, safety, people and risk. Formal board meetings are held quarterly.
Capital discipline
Conservative capital structures, fixed pricing, and transaction terms that give certainty to vendors, financiers and management alike.
Aligned management
Management teams are retained and aligned through salary, bonus and, where agreed, equity. Founders are supported through structured transitions on terms agreed with them.
Leadership
Three principals who combine operating experience in energy and electrical businesses, institutional infrastructure finance and governance, and group financial control.
