
Jonathan Ruddick
Managing DirectorJonathan has more than 25 years' experience across renewables, infrastructure, M&A, private equity and international structuring. His early career was in transaction advisory with Arthur Andersen and KPMG in Tokyo, including two of the largest foreign leveraged buyouts in Japan at the time, followed by corporate tax and legal at PwC, and Deutsche Bank in London, where he was responsible for developing and bringing to market new private equity, real estate and infrastructure funds for European and US institutional and high net worth investors.
He then spent 15 years founding and leading companies in solar, battery storage, microgrid and electrical infrastructure, has delivered more than 300 energy projects and was the architect and Project Director of the award-winning IKEA Adelaide Microgrid. As Chief Financial Officer, Chief Commercial Officer and board director of a UK plc in the distributed energy sector, he was part of the leadership team that took the business from an Australian start-up to a UK-headquartered group with operations in Australia and offices in Singapore and the United States, and led its capital raising from institutional and private investors, its preparation for a London AIM listing and its audited group accounts across jurisdictions.
At Macrano, Jonathan leads acquisitions, financing and governance, together with the group's commercial strategy and energy growth, and sits on each operating company board.
